  2. Killed 'em. Killed 'em all.

    Worn-out equipment.

    From Vietnam era until Clinton presidency.

    Before that, returned to civilian life. Prior to Vietnam, military dogs were donated, and went back to their original owners, or if not, former handlers, or applicants to adopt.

    It was the Vietnam dog handlers who pushed this law, their mission to try to atone for the great betrayal.

    They are the most haunted veterans I have ever met. They guard their cores awfully vigilantly -- and you and I do not want to breach that perimeter.
