Some years ago, I basked in a holiday-time compliment from a fellow trainer, who lauded my "ability to make dogs wear antlers without them looking beaten."
Seems that that mojo has worn off this year, alas.
May 2011 see many sparkly things, and very few beatings, for you and yours.
The beatings will continue until morale improves.
ReplyDeleteToo bad about Sophia, good news that you have Cole to deliver the necessary ass-kicking as needed.
ReplyDeleteLove that little white pine in the background. It has the same hangdog look as the dogs in the foreground. Did it grow on your place?
ReplyDeleteKris, you are not the first one to notice this. I now conveniently blame the Charlie Brown tree for the dogs' mopey mugs.
ReplyDeleteWe pruned it off a double-trunked pine on the north edge of the hayfield.
I figure we're already paying the bank every month to have Yule trees, we may as well cut one.
Sometimes hangdog pics are the cutest!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful 2011!
Hmm. When I get that look from the 3 ES, I always wonder if they are thinking "Please to remember I Am Dog with sharp teeth and could rip out your throat while you sleep. Not that I would. But I *could*."
ReplyDeleteNot so with Jet ("Me! Me! Pick me! I'll wear the elf ears! The pink tutu and fairy wings go with it? Awesome!!! Can I wear the Santa beard too?").
Happy New Year to you, PC and the whole Brandywine menagerie.
Absolutely LOVE that Christmas tree of yours!
